ABOUT DR. CARTER-SNELL
Dr. Brittany Carter-Snell, is a board-certified physician in both dermatology and internal medicine. As a native Detroiter, she enjoys serving her community through the Carter Snell Skin Center (CSSC). As one of few dermatologists in the metro area fully trained in internal medicine, Dr. Carter-Snell’s unique approach to patient care focuses on evaluating the person as a whole, ensuring inner health, while caring for the largest organ of the body – the skin.
Dr. Carter-Snell received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and her medical doctorate from Michigan State University. While in medical school she received high honors, was inducted into the honors fraternity Sigma Sigma Phi, and recognized with the Judith K. Weiswasser Memorial Award, given to the woman graduate deemed to be outstanding academically, professionally, and personally.
She went on to complete a combined internal medicine-dermatology residency through Ohio University and excelled in both specialties. Dr. Carter-Snell was the recipient of the Arnold P. Gold Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award for internal medicine. She was first place winner for outstanding participation in the National Medical Association John A. Kenney, Jr. M.D. Resident Research Synposium for dermatology. Her leadership skills and clinical performance earned her the honor of serving as dermatology Chief Resident.

While in practice, she has earned a Spirit of Detroit award and recognized as an Hour Magazine Top Doc in dermatology.
She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American College of Osteopathic Dermatology, National Medical Association, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc..
Dr. Brittany Carter-Snell resides in Detroit, MI with her husband Dr. Jamey Snell, daughter Genevieve, and son Jameson. Outside the office, she enjoys traveling and spending quality time with loved ones.
ABOUT LATONYA MILLBEN, PA
LaTonya Millben is a physician assistant certified by the NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) and licensed in the State of Michigan. She attended Lincoln University – Missouri, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. She received her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Detroit Mercy.

LaTonya has over 14 years of dermatology experience and enjoys treating both adults and children. She offers a wide range of medical services, including skin cancer screenings, acne, eczema, warts, psoriasis, seborrheic dermatitis, as well as dermatologic procedures such as skin biopsies. LaTonya is also well trained in various cosmetic procedures and lasers, including medical-grade chemical peels, injectables, and laser hair reduction.

LaTonya’s passion for teaching and training staff and students led her to pursue a career in academia in November 2020. She is an Assistant Professor at Concordia University in their Physician Assistant Program.
LaTonya is a member of the Michigan Academy of Physician Assistants, Michigan Dermatology Physician Assistants, the Physician Assistant Education Association, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.

LaTonya enjoys spending time with her husband, two sports-active children, and community service and outreach in her personal time.
ABOUT ALICIA JONES, NP
As a child, Alicia, spent summers caring for her ailing grandparents who suffered from severe emphysema and dementia. That experience never left her, and she dreamed of becoming a nurse. Her dream finally came true when she graduated from Wayne State School of Nursing in
2005.
Alicia spent several years as an ER trauma nurse at Sinai-Grace Hospital. She later became a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner for Wayne County. Those experiences provided a wealth of knowledge and the privilege of enriching the lives of patients and their families. However,
something was still missing. She enrolled in the Michigan State University Nurse Practitioner program and earned a master’s degree in 2019. She developed a passion for dermatology during a clinical dermatology rotation.
Alicia is extremely blessed and grateful to be a provider at Carter Snell Skin Center. This is a tremendous opportunity for her to continue enriching the lives of patients and their families. Alicia is trained in microneedling, laser hair removal, chemical peels, aesthetic injections, and body sculpting via radio frequency. She is a proud member of the Association of Nurse Practitioners, Dermatology Nurse Association, and Michigan Council of Nurse Practitioners. These affiliations allow her to
stay on the cutting edge of dermatologic advancements.
Alicia is a native Detroiter who enjoys spending time with her husband, children, and fur baby, Dice. She enjoys reading, traveling, culinary arts, and great mystery movies.
